We have found that Intel CPUs that are multi-core with hyper-threading work quite well since the software can take advantage of multiple execution threads. We have had good luck with the following CPUs:

If you wish to use the software with a 4K monitor, we strongly recommend a high-performance video card like the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080.
Our test computers are outfitted with solid state drives (SSDs) which significantly improve the disk read/write performance.
If the uScopeGX whole slide scanner does not work with your PC's USB3 ports, you may wish to consider a third-party USB 2.0 plug-in card. We have had very good luck with the Startech 4-Port PCI Express USB 2.0 Card (part number PEXUSB4DP). This card is available from Amazon.com for a very reasonable price.
