Question
When browsing a slide, is the image captured by the objective limited to a certain maximum size?
Answer
uScope Navigator v4.3 adds a new slide-in panel that provides a number of options for the displayed image. One of these options limits the maximum scale of the objective image to 200%.
You can access this panel by clicking the [...] in the top right corner of the browse window. The options available include:
- Zoom
These controls allow you to zoom the objective image in and out. - Set to 100%
This control sets the objective image to 100% (1:1) so that one pixel on the screen represents one pixel on the camera. - Fit to Window
This control adjusts the size of the objective image so that it fits within the boundary of the browse window. - Limit Maximum Zoom to 200%
This control limits the maximum zoom size of the objective to 200% (or 2:1). You can zoom in and out using the controls on this tab or using the scroll wheel on your mouse. - Show Full Screen
This control displays the objective image in full-screen mode. - Save to Disk
This control saves the objective image to a file on disk. - Copy to Clipboard
This control copies the objective image to the clipboard. - Show Scale Indicator
This control toggles the display of a scale indicator in the bottom right corner of the objective image.
Many of these controls were available in versions prior to v4.3. The ability to limit the zoom level to 200% was added in uScope Navigator v4.3.
