Fast Stack Scan SettinguScope Navigator v4.5 introduces a streamlined method for changing the settings for the Fast Stack focus method.

Prior versions of uScope Navigator required that you change focus settings in the Device Options screen. Version 4.5 provides a more intuitive method of adjusting these settings.

uScope Navigator v4.5 has a redesigned user interface that offers additional features and controls for scanning slides.

When selecting the region(s) of interest to scan, a new Focus Settings button allows you to alter the default settings for the selected focus method. You may change these parameters to suit your requirements.

  • Run — Steps
The Run Steps specifies the number of steps to move the objective for each image in the focus stack. The number of steps is based on the objective magnification and NA.
  • Run — Range
The Run Range specifies the range (above and below the initial focus point) to scan for best focus.

Refer to Fast Stack Focus Device Settings for more information about the Device Settings that are available.

Changes you make in this dialog become the new default focus settings.
