Symptom

Creating a deep zoom image causes a program crash that immediately exits the uScope Navigator application. The uScope Navigator application is closed immediately.

Cause

This problem manifests when attempting to combine fields to create a deep zoom image. The deep zoom image generator requires that scanned images are overlapped so they can be stitched. When image fields are not stitched, they cannot be combined into a large image.

In uScope Navigator v4.3, all scans were presumed to overlap. This resulted in a program crash that occurred when attempting to stitch images that did not overlap.

Resolution

This problem is resolved in uScope Navigator v4.5. You may download the latest update to resolve this issue.

Work-Around

If you need to create a deep zoom image with uScope Navigator v4.3, be sure to configure the overlap settings for stitching. Refer to the following knowledge base article for more information:
