I have selected the PNG Image File Format in the Program Options—Application Preferences but the Deep Zoom image tiles are still saved as JPG files. How can I cause the Deep Zoom images to be saved as PNG (lossless) images?
In uScope Navigator v4.3 and earlier, the Image File Format option only affects the file format of the scanned image fields. When the Deep Zoom image is created, the field images are stitched and overlayed. Then, the Deep Zoom bottom layer tiles are cut from the composite, stitched image and saved as JPG files.
Unfortunately, there is no way to output PNG files for the Deep Zoom tiles in uScope Navigator v4.3.
uScope Navigator v4.5 uses the Image File Format option when creating the images for the Deep Zoom pyramid.
