I have selected the PNG Image File Format in the Program Options—Application Preferences but the Deep Zoom image tiles are still saved as JPG files. How can I cause the Deep Zoom images to be saved as PNG (lossless) images?
This is by design in the uScope Navigator v4.3 application. The Image File Format option only affects the file format of the scanned image fields. When the Deep Zoom image is created, the field images are stitched and overlayed. Then, the Deep Zoom bottom layer tiles are cut from the composite, stitched image and saved as JPG files.
Unfortunately, there is no way to output PNG files for the Deep Zoom tiles in uScope Navigator v4.3. This feature will be added in a future release.
