Deep Zoom Image of Blank ROIEven though the field images in a scan are set to overlap, the Whole Scan Image has a dark border around each scanned field as shown.

This problem is caused when the fields in the scanned region of interest have no image content and cannot be stitched together. The most likely cause is that a blank area of the slide was scanned.

Scan a region of interest that is not on a blank part of the slide.

This is normal operation of the Whole Scan Image generator when building an image from a blank, non-stitchable scan.
