Question

It seems that the overview camera and objective camera are not properly aligned on my uScope Navigator. When I click on a part of the specimen that appears in the overview image, the corresponding part of the specimen does not always appear under the objective. Sometimes, I must move the objective one or two fields to find the matching part of the specimen.

Is there some calibration that needs to be performed from time to time?

Answer

This is the expected behavior of the uScope.

The overview image is a relatively low-resolution picture of the slide. In cases of high magnification, like what you have with a 40x or 60x objective, a few pixels of the overview image is equivalent to the whole image captured by the objective.

While the mapping between the overview image and objective may not be precisely one-to-one, it should be very close (as shown in the following overview and objective images).
