Question
Is it possible to run third-party programs during the scanner work-flow?
Answer
Yes. There are several places you can run programs automatically. There are also several places you can add user-defined buttons to the application that run user-specified programs.
- Pre Scan Action
The pre-scan action (available from Program Options—Application—User Actions) allows you to specify a program to run before a region of interest is scanned. - Post Scan Action
The post-scan action (available from Program Options—Application—User Actions) allows you to specify a program to run after a region of interest is scanned. - Pre Deep Zoom Action
The pre-deep zoom scan action (available from Program Options—Deep Zoom Options—User Actions) allows you to specify a program to run before a deep zoom image is created. - Post Deep Zoom Action
The post-deep zoom scan action (available from Program Options—Deep Zoom Options—User Actions) allows you to specify a program to run after a deep zoom image is created. - Scan Selected Button
You can add up to two (2) buttons to the Job Manager field sets. These buttons become active when a field set is selected in the Job Manager. They are added from Program Options—Job Manager Buttons—When a Scan is Selected. - Deep Zoom Selected Button
You can add up to two (2) buttons to the Job Manager for Deep Zoom images. These buttons become active when a Deep Zoom image set is selected in the Job Manager. They are added from Program Options—Job Manager Buttons—When a Deep Zoom is Selected. - Deep Zoom Button
You can add up to three (3) buttons to the Deep Zoom Image Viewer from Program Options—Deep Zoom Buttons.
