A problem exists on some computers where a scan may fail to complete and appear to be locked in the midst of a scan. This problem only occurs in uScope Navigator v4.6. uScope Navigator v4.5 and earlier do not exhibit this issue.
Once the scan locks-up it is impossible to abort or otherwise gracefully exit.
This problem is caused by a buffer overflow condition in the algorithm that combines (stitches) images in the background while scanning.
To resolve this problem, disable background image stitching as shown in How to Combine Fields while Scanning.
This overflow condition will be resolved in a future release of uScope Navigator.
