uScope Navigator can create SVS (Tiled TIFF) image files of your scanned slides. The convenience of the SVS file is that it is a single file that contains the whole scanned image. However, SVS files can be very large and difficult to manage, store, move, and view.
The following image viewers that are included with standard operating systems allow you to view SVS image files:
In addition, a number of commercial image viewers are available. Use your web browser to search for SVS Image Viewer.
Note
Prior to uScope Navigator v4.5, SVS images were saved with a .tif file extension and would open automatically in Preview (MacOS) and Photo Viewer (Windows). Starting in uScope Navigator v4.5, SVS images are saved with the .svs file extension. To automatically open them in Preview or Photo Viewer, you must rename the .svs files to .tif files.
