Symptom

Attempting to create an EDF Layer for a multi-layer scan when creating a Whole Scan Image causes uScope Navigator to hang at 0% complete.

Cause

This problem is caused when the EDF libraries have not been licensed and installed and the Create EDF Deep Zoom option is selected on the Create Whole Scan Image dialog.

uScope Navigator v4.5 hangs searching for the EDF libraries which are not installed.

Resolution

As a work-around, make sure the Create EDF Deep Zoom option is not selected on the Create Whole Scan Image dialog (as shown).

This problem is corrected in uScope Navigator v4.6.
