Summary

Helicon Focus Pro v7 offers OpenCL (GPU) acceleration that can significantly improve the performance of EDF image processing.

By default, Helicon Focus performs all EDF image processing using the CPU. When OpenCL Acceleration is enabled, EDF image processing is performed by the GPU at a rate that is 2× faster than CPU processing.

To enable OpenCL Acceleration, within the Helicon Focus application...

1. Navigate to Edit—Perferences.
2. Select the Performance Tab.
3. Select OpenCL Hardware Acceleration.
4. Delete Fail safe mode.
