Using the Exhaustive Stack Focus Method

Exhaustive Stack Focus Method

The uScope Navigator Application offers several different focus methods you may use when scanning a region of interest.  This video discusses the Exhaustive Stack Focus Method and how it is best used.

Exhaustive Stack is intended for use when perfect focus of each field is critical. If your specimen is not well-prepared, this focus method will provide excellent focus results.

After selecting the region to scan, you are prompted to select an initial focus point. The Exhaustive Stack Focus Method uses this focus point as the middle of a deep Z-stack of images and chooses the best focused image from the stack.

Exhaustive Stack is the slowest focus method but it always gives the best focused images for each field.
